before I go back to my bridal registry mishap, I just have to say that every bit of hard work became the best ingredient for us to have the most meaningful and organized wedding anyone could ever have. I am so happy :)

bridezilla

I know I am one :) I know a perfect and smooth sailing wedding coordination is too much to ask but my patience is really tested just to make this once in a lifetime event possible.

The disaster gown - I had to change my supplier a month before my wedding because of people who prefers quantity over quality. Good thing I was saved by Tita Nila. of Nila Ventura's Collections, I will post my wedding gown after my event and her contact numbers and address as well, her gowns are superb and cost effective and she is very accomodating. I'll devote a separate post for her and the wonderful gown that she made especially for me :)

going back, I don't want to generalize it but I can't help but think that gown suppliers from Divisoria is up to no good. I thought I made a good deal because I saw a nice looking wedding gown in their display and they offer a good price compared to others but it turned out that they can't deliver what they promise. the gowns of my entourage is already done so I had to let my entourage use it, but I really fought for my right to have a good wedding dress and cancelled my gown. I just hoped that the entourage gowns although poor in quality will still look good in photos.

I would really not recommend Divisoria for custom made gowns.

the bridal registry mishap - SM should be more organized in offering their bridal registry to couples, since a wedding is a meaningful celebration they should give meaning to their service as well. They let me and my husband choose as much as 50 items so we can get 50 bridal registry cards that we can give to our guests only to find out 2 weeks after that what we have selected was not applicable for the registry. Haisst selecting gifts for your wedding must be an enjoyable experience not a nightmare.

Reception venue matters.

Garden or Hotel
Indoor or outdoor
must be elegant but not expensive
must at least be spacious
must have ample space for singing and dancin

these are the considerations that we considered in choosing our venue.

Since its june, we opted to have a hotel wedding to avoid being soaked in the rain, we can't rely on Pag-asa for the weather so we better play safe :)

We are lucky that after checking around 20+ hotels through walk in and internet searching we found an elegant hotel with affordable rates and ample space for our activities. plus its near to our church so Citystate Tower Hotel is really our best option :)

Choosing the date.

Date selection proves to be one of the hardest part in setting a wedding. We had a tough time finalizing our date because of many considerations. At first we are thinking that June 20 is a bit too soon, so we started trying other dates. Our only wish is that, at least it must be the 20th of any month.

The explanation - our original anniversary was March 20 that was way back our High School days. After some years apart we were together again by the 20th of December 2008. That is why, while stars combine their names to signify their love teams, ours was different - we use ETNEB (bente pronounced backwards). :)

Going back to my point, the task is to choose an auspicious date that have a free slot in the church and reception venue of your choice.

In our case, August 20 is a dead month, september 20 is a tuesday, December 20 is a tuesday as well whereas June 20 is a holiday :) after much praying June 20 turned out to be the best date after all so I believe that this is the date that the Lord picked for us.

wedding crazy

I just can't have enough.

On top of all the wedding preparations that I am handling right now, I still decided to create my very own wedding blog. I am excited to have mine and I am inspired to see others who will enjoy theirs. :)

In here I have freedom to describe my excitement and enumerate the details that I encountered in preparing my wedding and of course I hope this can provide a guide to help future brides.

as of today... I have 20 more days to cap off my preparations, I hope I can still work miracles :)
